initially developed and tested under `ARCH Linux`.
to install this under *ubuntuish distros:
Requires `GTK3+ >3.20`
```
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:gnome3-team/gnome3-staging
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:gnome3-team/gnome3
sudo apt-get update
```
have the following packages installed
`libjson-glib-dev libgtk-3-dev libgstreamer1.0-dev libgstreamer-plugins-base1.0-dev libgphoto2-dev libcurl4-gnutls-dev libcanberra-gtk3-dev libgtk-3-dev`
